Who we are
The website casataraneasca.ro (the “Website”) is operated by SC Frigorifer SA, Str. Inginer Dumitru Ivanov nr. 20, Tulcea, Romania (“Frigorifer”, “we”), the producer and distributor of Casa Țărănească products. Tax ID (CUI): 2363762, Trade Register No.: J1991000426365.

What data we process and why
1. Contact form. When you write to us through the form on the Contact page, we process your name, e-mail address and the content of your message, solely in order to respond to your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to the requests we receive, respectively pre-contractual steps where the message concerns a potential collaboration (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Messages are kept for no more than 2 years from the last correspondence.
2. Cookies and similar technologies. We use strictly necessary cookies for the operation of the Website and — only with your consent — traffic analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4). Full details, including the list of cookies and their durations, can be found in our Cookie Policy. The legal basis for non-essential cookies is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” (link in the Website footer).
3. Traffic statistics (Google Analytics 4). With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Website is used (pages visited, visit duration, device type, traffic source). Data is collected through online identifiers and the IP address (truncated/processed by Google), without identifying you directly. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.; data may be transferred outside the EEA (including to the USA), on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. The Website uses Google Consent Mode v2: until consent is given, no analytics cookie is set.
4. Promotional campaigns (prize draws). If you take part in our campaigns, your data is processed in accordance with the official rules of the respective campaign, published on the campaign page.
5. Technical logs. For security and diagnostic purposes, the hosting server automatically records the IP address and technical data about access. These are kept for a short period, in accordance with the hosting provider’s practices.
Who we disclose data to
- the hosting provider of the Website (the servers on which the Website runs);
- Google (Google Analytics 4 — only with your consent; YouTube — only if you choose to play an embedded video);
- Meta Platforms (Instagram) — when the Instagram feed on the home page is displayed;
- public authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
How long we keep the data
- contact form messages — no more than 2 years from the last correspondence;
- cookie consent — 12 months (the preferences cookie);
- Google Analytics statistical data — no more than 14 months, in aggregated form;
- promotional campaign data — in accordance with the rules of each campaign and with tax obligations.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right of access to your data, the right to rectification, to erasure (“the right to be forgotten”), to restriction of processing, to data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand).
To exercise these rights, write to us at info@frigorifer.ro. We will reply within one month at the latest. If you consider that your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) — www.dataprotection.ro.
Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to form data, and constant updating of the platform.
Minors
The Website is not addressed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data about them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the way the Website operates changes. The current version, together with the date of the last update, is permanently published on this page.
